Jay is a Member, Architects’ Guild, at Coscend Communications Solutions. He leads network management systems (NMS) operations for customers.
Jay brings over 25 years in software engineering from Infineon Technologies and NEC America. Jay has designed, developed and deployed software solutions for digital Class 5 switches to Signaling System 7 (SS7), artificial intelligent network (AIN), asynchronous transfer mode (ATM) and NMS, and mobile phones.
Jay has:
- Designed, developed, enhanced, integrated and tested a diagnostics tool that tested and verified internal hardware components of mobile phones such as memory, audio, display, async interface unit, and real-time clock;
- Developed graphical user interface (GUI) screens to interface from diagnostics user interface to device under tests using MS Visual Studio;
- Developed the test bed for tests of functionalities including shared random access memory, display screen, deep sleep and keypad, and executed test cases for Web browsing, Infrared Data Association (IrDA) and Bluetooth, PC Sync, and receiving and sending of vCal, vCard and images over multi-media services and IrDA interfaces;
- Developed, enhanced, integrated, verified, and automated testing for GUI, and diagnosed, fixed and documented problems and solutions in the real-time software for user interface and protocol stack for mobile phones based on Time Division Multiple Access and Global System for Mobile Communications-General Packet Radio Service;
- Designed, developed, integrated, and documented several components such as alarm processing, diagnostics and connections for GUI as well as integrated rule-based expert system of NMS for ATM;
- Designed, documented, coded, integrated, and tested components of AIN including link manager, call processing manager, and service logic process of the service creation; and
- Designed call processing business features such as automatic call back and automatic recall using SS7 links between inter-offices, and between an office and services signaling switching point for database query for 800 Number.

Jay has earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Manchester University, England.
