David Sterling contributed to Coscend Communications Solutions during its incubation phase.
David brings over 20 years of global management experience by working at AT&T, British Telecom, PCCW Global and Devonshire Telecom & Technology Services (at Fidelity) and spanning across the U.S., Europe and Asia Pacific. David has expanded business services worth over $200 million in broadband networks, extended data services, and grown managed services, hosting and Internet services. David has successfully managed initiatives in strategic planning, product management and business development with telecommunications, Web hosting and Internet Protocol (IP) service providers.
Specifically, he has:
- Led strategic planning and business case development for KVH (a communications and IT management service provider in Japan) and COLT Telecom’s (a $3 billion telecom service provider in the U.K.) new enterprise initiatives impacting over $150 million in revenues;
- Directed the telecom services product portfolio for PCCW Global, including data networking and application services, expanding both voice over IP and multi-protocol label switching services in the Americas;
- Led the development of British Telecom’s product and process framework in international partner agreements that resulted in $30 million in value-added services;
- Directed compliance of product services for three new data centers through 18 months of successful deployment at British Telecom;
- Led the expansion of managed network services in Asia for AT&T Asia Pacific’s global customers in support of $75 million in network business; and
- Provided guidance on integrating operations and business support systems with application enablers, such as mobility, virtualization, data centers and IP platforms.

David has earned a Master of Business Administration from Cornell University, and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University. His professional activities have engaged him to live and work in more than 25 countries. Previously, he held the U.S. government security clearance.
