Pankaj Patel contributed to Coscend from August to December in 2007 during its incubation phase. At Coscend, he has led OSS applications development, architecture services and technology consulting services for service providers, software platform vendors and mobile applications platform providers.
Earlier, as the Director of Wireless Applications Development at Convergys, he led the mediation product development organization consisting of 100 software engineers in the U.S.A., the U.K., and India. During his 14-year tenure at Convergys, Pankaj worked as a senior technical architect for OSS and BSS products, such as mediation, CDPD, provisioning, settlement, and pre-paid mediation.
Prior to this, Pankaj worked at AT&T Bell Labs for nine years designing and developing the architecture of switching systems software, such as SCCS and Datakit, and other applications including SFDC, AMIS and XCIMkit. Pankaj has also worked as Chief Software Director, Embedded Systems, at Navionics, and Director, Software Development Projects, at Infinite Computing Systems.
Pankaj has co-authored three patents (pending) on mediation, and has served on the Board of Directors of ipdr.org, an industry standards group. He is a regular speaker at telecom conferences in the U.S.A., the U.K., and Spain.
Pankaj earned a Master of Sciences in Computer Science from Wright State University (Ohio), Bachelor of Sciences in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from University of Illinois (Chicago), and bachelor in Chemistry from Gujarat University (India).
